PUBLIC HEALTH PROMOTION
Rural Ghana grapples with limited healthcare access, inadequate sanitation, and high incidences of communicable diseases, exacerbated by factors like poverty and inadequate infrastructure. These challenges hinder community health and require civil society to support government with innovative targeted interventions to improve public health outcomes in these underserved areas.
We conduct comprehensive health promotion activities covering a range of topics including nutrition, malaria, yellow fever and vaccines, reproductive health, exclusive breastfeeding, maternal and child health and ensuring proper antenatal care, child immunization, and birth preparedness.
Social and Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC):
Utilizing our branded tricycles, we engage communities with tailored SBCC strategies to promote healthy behaviors and attitudes. These mobile units serve as platforms for disseminating vital health information and encouraging positive social change.
Community Wellness Initiatives:
We offer counseling and facilitation services to address various social and health challenges. Our programs include counseling for issues such as substance abuse (drugs and alcohol), pregnancy stigma, poverty stigma, menstruation stigma, and other related challenges. By providing support and education, we aim to foster healthier and more inclusive communities.
Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH):
Our WASH programs focus on teaching communities to construct simple toilets using local materials. This initiative promotes better sanitation practices, reducing the risk of waterborne diseases and improving overall community health.
